“Wisdom is better than strength…Wisdom is better than weapons
of war.”(Eccles. 9:16, 18)
The challenge is to eliminate stress in life, not to create more stress or
spend my days responding to stressful situations or allowing myself
to be triggered in emotionally negative ways. Stress is an indicator
that you are not living the life that the Lord has planned for you.
Some turn to drugs or hypertensive medications to relieve stress.
Drugs are not the only solution to stress? Drugs provide you with ups
and downs rather than a steady peaceful state of being. Drugs can
block your connection with the spiritual, giving you an illusion of a
supernatural experience or drug induced relaxation.
True relaxation is the goal, the relaxation that comes from inner peace.
Drugs can also pump up your egocentric behavior, make you paranoid
or lower your motivation. Stress comes from not accepting the now with joy
and thanksgiving and wanting the moment to be different, refusing
to be patient with the process that makes life better. We escape the
world of illusion through truth.
“I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and fortress.
My God in Him I will trust…His truth shall be
my shield and buckler.” Psalm 91: 2, 4
“Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord
with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know that the
Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we
are his people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with
thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him,
and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting,
and His truth endures to all generations.” (Psalms 100:1-5)
Forgive yourself for seeking illusions and seek Jesus. Wanting
Jesus in your life is wanting peace and wanting stress free living
above all other desires.
Because the Lord is my Deliverer,
I stress not, I want not.
Lord, You are the alter of my joy,
My Jehovah-Jireh, my provider.
I weep no more.
You are the peacemaker of my soul.
I dance on banisters.
You are the supernatural grace,
That suspends and extends me,
Holds me steadfast in the light of your salvation.
You fill me with living waters of wisdom and power.
I am grateful as still I rise to new revelations in you.
I sing a new song,
As I enter your courts with praise.
I exhalt your name.
Lord you are so amazing.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
